Etorch MAX

The Etorch MAX is the latest all-electric torch for industrial roofing. Perfect for drying all types of roofing and is the ideal partner for use with BUR, self-adhesive, liquid, heat-applied and single-ply systems.

The Etorch MAX is a versatile, robust and powerful adhesive coating dryer and activator that delivers improved performance. It is the only truly effective surface dryer. When the Etorch MAX is passed over a surface, it leaves a residual heat that allows the surface to continue drying.
It dries deeper and faster than a gas torch, and works effectively in all temperatures. The Etorch MAX can dry over 5 meters per minute – leaving the surface completely dry!

The jointing tool enables welding of 60mm and 80mm joints with perfect adhesive bleed – in a standing position. No more hands and knees! The control panel has the same layout as the Etorch3, but with the addition of temperature control for detail mode and a “Ready” indicator light. The operator can immediately see when the Etorch is ready to activate, dry or weld. With four separate functions, the Etorch MAX is ideal for use on all types of roofing systems.

The Etorch MAX is a lightweight, electrically powered torch that replaces the traditional gas model, offering a safer and more sustainable solution for both interior and exterior construction applications. Designed to be held with one arm, the Etorch MAX is carefully balanced for precise movement in all directions – whether tilting, rotating or circular handling.

The cool carbon fiber outer shell ensures the device remains safe to handle during use, even in demanding environments. The Etorch MAX is designed to be used close to upstands and along building edges without compromising safety.

With built-in automatic overheating protection, the Etorch MAX eliminates the risk of ignition, eliminating the risk of spark and vapor-related fires. The device is also equipped with 30 mA protection, providing increased user safety and protecting against electrical damage – whatever the conditions.

Power requirements and connection information for Etorch MAX

The Etorch MAX is designed for powerful and stable operation with three-phase power supply. In Europe, 415 volts, three-phase, with 32 amps is required.
In Canada and the USA, 480 volts three-phase is used, also with 32 amps. The connection requires both ground and neutral via a five-pin plug.

The power consumption is 28 KVA, equivalent to 22 kilowatts per hour, but only during active operation. When the unit is not in use, it has minimal power consumption. The Etorch MAX is connected to the control box via a 5 meter long insulated hose. The control box is equipped with a 32A male plug connected to a 4 meter cable. A 20 meter extension cable is included to enable connection to the mains power supply.

If the power source is further away, additional extension cables of 20 and 40 meters are available and can be purchased or rented as needed. The control panel has a built-in monitoring relay that monitors the power supply and protects against errors and fluctuations from outside. The Etorch MAX will not start until the power setup is correct, and gives a clear message if something is wrong.

It is recommended to use a qualified electrician to ensure proper setup. When working in locations without a fixed power supply, a 30 KVA generator with a five-pin 32 amp plug (red and white type) is recommended. If the generator has a 64 amp outlet, adapters are available to allow connection to the 32 amp cable.
